My 10 favorite sweet treats (except from ice cream)

I am not just an ice cream addict. I am having a weakness for all kinds of sweets. Besides ice cream, here are ten of my all time favorite sweet treats I could eat every day at any time (in random order):

1. A Cheesecake @ Eileen’s Special Cheesecake

For light, airy and super delicious New York Cheesecake.

2. A Classic Cheesecake @ Junior’s (various locations

For a fabulous heavy classic cheesecake at New York’s most iconic cheesecake spot.

3. Pastries and Macarons @ La Durée 

(398 West Broadway at Spring street. Soho / 864 Madison Avenue, between East 70th and 71st street. Upper East Side)

For afternoon Parisian style sweets.

4. A DKA @ Dominique Ansel Bakery

(189 Spring street, between Sullivan and Thompson street. Soho).

It’s not just the Frozen S’More at this Bakery that I can’t resist, but also the DKA is an yummy alternative when the Cronut is sold out here.  And there are more irresistible pastries in here. 

5. A Mille Crepe @ Lady M Cake Boutique 

(various locations in Midtown and Uptown New York).

My all time favorite cake. 

 6. Wafels @ Wafel & Dinges 

(209 East 2nd street at Avenue B. East Village or find out where the truck is here)

Wafels that live up to the Belgian standards. 

7. A doughnut @ Doughnut Plant 

(379 Grand Street, between Essex and Norfolk street. Lower East Side. / 220 West 23rd Street, between 7th & 8th Avenue. Chelse. / 245 Flatbush Avenue, at the intersections of Flatbush, Bergen and Sixth Avenue. Brooklyn)

My favorite donut spot for a light and fluffy doughnut. 

8. Banana Pudding @ Magnolia Bakery 

(401 Bleecker street at West 11th street. West Village)

Did you know that besides cupcakes, Magnolia has amazing banana pudding? 

9. The Ispahan Mega Macaron @ Bosie Tea Parlor 

(10 Morton street, between Bedford and Bleecker street. West Village)

A killer macaron.

10. A Crimson and Cream Cupcake and Cocktail Pairing @ Sweet Revenge

(62 Carmine street at Bedford street. West Village)

An artisan cupcake along with a wine or cocktail. The perfect combination for me. 

11. A Chocolate (Martini) and Cheese Pairing @ Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar 

(1, 7th Avenue South at Carmine street. West Village. / 11 West 31th street, between 5th and 6th avenue. Midtown West). 

Another perfect pairing.

12. Lip schmackin’ good Cookies @ Schmakary’s

(362 West 45th street at 9th Avenue. Midtown West/ Hell’s Kitchen) 

Homemade cookies to die for. Try at least the Maple Brown one. 

13. A Pie Little Pie Company

(424 West 42th street, between 9th and 10th Avenue. Midtown West/ Hell’s Kitchen).

All kinds of delicious pies.

 14. A Compost Cookie or Crack Pie @ Momofuku Milk Bar (various locations)

15. Candy’s @ Dylan’s Candybar

(1011, 3rd Avenue at East 60th street. Upper East Side). 

Have you ever seem that many candy bars in one place? Even for adults, this two floors candy land is hard to leave without buying anything.
